Before I found out about the nervous system, I spent years fighting with myself.
In 2020, I was admitted to hospital and given a neurological diagnosis. I met with doctors and neurologists. I was offered information and reassurance — but something essential was missing.
No one explained the nervous system itself. No one helped me understand how my body had been organising, responding, or protecting over time. What stayed with me was confusion — and a lack of direction.
Through my own recovery, and later through training in polyvagal theory and somatic psychotherapy, clarity began to arrive. I could finally see why my body was responding the way it was. I could understand the patterns underneath the symptoms.
That understanding changed everything.
It brought relief.
It gave healing a direction.
What struck me most was how difficult this information was to access. The knowledge existed — scattered across research, clinical training, and specialist language — but rarely offered clearly to the people trying to make sense of their own bodies.
I created this class to change that.
